How long, and what happens if something changes
3–10 working days depending on area and reinstatement — your BOQ states yours.
If we open something up and find damage nobody could see, we stop, show you, and re-quote that item before continuing.
Before the site visit
How do you know the waterproofing is the problem and not a pipe?
By isolating them. We pressure-test the supply and flood-test the floor separately, so a leak that appears when the shower runs but not when the pipes are under pressure points at the membrane rather than the plumbing.
Does the bathroom have to be stripped to waterproof it?
For a floor membrane, yes — the layer sits under the screed and tile, so there is no way to install it from above without lifting them. Anyone offering a floor membrane over existing tile is selling a coating, and we say so.
What happens if it leaks again afterwards?
The membrane manufacturer states a service life for the system and we install to that specification, holding a recorded flood test before anything is covered. The BOQ names the product and the number of coats, so what went in is on paper rather than in memory.
Do you do roof waterproofing as well as bathrooms?
Yes. Roof waterproofing across Dubai, plus terraces and water tanks, each uses a different system to a bathroom floor, and the site visit decides which. The BOQ names the product per area rather than pricing "waterproofing" as one line.
